PSAT scores were handed out today. Today we went over what scores were necessary to attend community colleges and universities. The last minutes of class were devoted to taking notes on ludology.

Students compared and contrasted the use of animals in biomedical research by reading, writing, and discussing "I Acknowledge Mine" and "Animals in Biomedical Research." Students debating whether violence in television and films should be censored. Afterwards, the class read "Now you take 'Bambi' or 'Snow White'--That's Scary!" If time remained, students read "Hair" and compared and contrasted today's hair styles with those of yesterday. Click here for the PP.

Monday, April 6

Powerpoint for today. Welcome back from Spring Break everyone! Today was spent going over what happened during spring break, both to you and Mr. Hampton. We also went over our schedule for next month, including our newest novel, "Night." Some strike system changes were made and film club's viewing was shifted until next Friday (4/17). 6th period welcomed new members of the class and went over behavioral expectations and how to act in class.

The students are to bring a photograph of themselves or a friend playing a sport or doing an activity that they enjoying doing. Such activities include fishing, hunting, any kind of sport. The pictures can be from any time frame and then will be returned at the conclusion of the project. Students completed a Holocaust Poetry Project in class.
