3.30.10 (Tuesday): Hampton is out again for planning. Students read pgs. 105-119 in Shoeless Joe and filled out another literature circle worksheet.

 

3.29.10 (Monday): Hampton is out again for planning. Students read pgs. 90-101 in Shoeless Joe and filled out another literature circle worksheet.

3.26.10 (Friday): Hampton will be on the 10th grade field trip. Students are to read from pgs. 77-90 and fill out another literature circle worksheet. Students then discuss both of their filled out worksheets in their Literature Circle groups.

 

3.24.10 (Wednesday): Early Release Day. Shoeless Joe Quiz #1 (covers notes from last Friday-this Tuesday; readings from pgs. 3-47). HW: Read pgs. 48-77. Fill out literature circle worksheet.

 

3.23.10 (Tuesday): Students met in literature circles to discuss pgs. 23-32. HW: Read pgs. 32-47; prepare for quiz tomorrow.

 

3.22.10 (Monday): Grapes of Wrath Make Up Exam. Students met in Literature Circle groups to discuss Shoeless Joe, pgs. 3-19. Groups also completed a RAFT on Annie. See presentation for details. HW: Read pgs. 23-32. Complete Literature Circle  worksheet.

Slave Narrative Project was assigned.  Time in class to work on slave narrative project. HW: Read Letters, pg. 73-91. Read Narrative, Chapter 11 (this is optional, but will give you Douglass' closing thoughts on slavery, which could add to your slave narrative project). Finish your slave narrative project. This project is due on Tuesday, Jan. 26th.
