1.14.10/1.15.10 (Thursday/Friday): Conclusion of Non-Fiction Unit.  Watched clips from The Grudge and Paranormal State (Part I / Part II). Students read an article about removing ghosts from their homes. Students performed another RAFT assignment. See presentation for details. HW: Finish RAFT. Due on Tuesday of next week.

 

1.13.10 (Wednesday): Read three articles on tips for surviving high school. Click here for a link to the articles. Completed a RAFT assignment. See presentation for details. HW: Finish RAFT Assignment.

 

1.12.10 (Tuesday): Hampton was out sick. Students read "Games at Twilight" in their textbook and answered the questions at the end.

 

1.11.10 (Monday): Hampton was out sick. Students did a 5 paragraph essay on the following topic: Write to convince your principal whether or not school should have been cancelled due to the power outage.

11.24.2009 (Tuesday): SPECIAL SCHEDULE. Food Drive Movie 9:30-12:00. Fire Drill at 1:35 pm. Student/Faculty volleyball game during 6th period. All other students who are not going to these activities...work is to watch selected scenes from Titanic the movie and compare and contrast them with the story.

 

11.23.2009 (Monday): Read "Titanic" from the old Holt textbook. Did an anticipation guide.

11.19.2009/11.20.2009 (Thursday/Friday): Notes on "Devil's Advocate." Read an anti-hunting article. In groups, students filled out an opinionnaire and performed Professor Know-It-All once again in order to better understand the text. 

 

11.18.2009 (Wednesday): FCA #4. See Hampton to make up test. There is no presentation today.

 

11.17.2009 (Tuesday): Resources Scavenger Hunt Project. Actual scavenger hunt will be posted on Wednesday. See presentation for details.
